Our Story

Sweet Mother of Pies started with a simple conviction: that a properly made pie deserves more than a strip-mall corner and a fluorescent light. We opened our doors on County Road 318 because this is home — and because Gainesville deserves a place where the crust is flaky, the filling is honest, and the coffee is poured without rushing.
Every pie is assembled by hand, in small batches, using recipes that change with the season. Our savory line starts at lunch; our sweet lineup grows through the afternoon. The bar carries local beers, natural wines, and cocktails built around what's fresh — not what's easiest.
The Space

We designed this room the way we design our menus: with care, without pretense. Wooden counters. Soft light. A pie case you can see into. A bar corner for evening drinks, a window row for morning coffee. Whether you come alone with a book or bring a crowd for Sunday dinner, there's a place for you here.
The space is available for small gatherings and private events — up to about twenty guests. Catering is available for occasions that call for a proper pie. Reach out and we'll sort it out.
